We are looking for experienced full-time or part-time social media and communications experts who can help us connect and engage better with our communities online. The ideal candidates should have some experience in the media sector and share a love for the audio medium.

Our Social Media and Communications team is responsible for a whole range of tasks. Since we are a small team and there is a lot to do, we are looking for individuals with proven experience of working in social media and/or digital communications.

The ideal candidate will be expected to carry out or support their team members in carrying out the following tasks:

• Write copy in Nepali and English for social media posts on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter
• Plan and execute social media campaigns to promote our podcast, online and offline events
• Create short-term and long-term social media strategy in line with Boju Bajai’s goals and objectives
• Directly engage and communicate with our communities online
• Create visual assets for social media such as inforgraphics, posters, etc., using Canva or something similar
• Update and manage a database of relevant news stories and opinion pieces from national and international media
• Update our analytics from all online platforms and draw relevant insights
• Work closely with designers to create visual campaigns around special series
• Excellent writing and communications skills in both English and Nepali

Experience in carrying out the following tasks is desirable, but not essential:

• Create short audio bytes using apps such as Headliner
• Edit audio clips using software such as Audacity

We are happy to negotiate both salary and work hours based on experience and availability.
